Kansas City

Founded by the Wyandotte Indians in 1886, the city was initially called Wyandotte before renamed Kansas City in 1886. Within proximity is the lake Wyandotte, the widest of the State.

The arrival in Kansas City is marked by the towers of eight grain silos.

Visit the Shawnee Methodist Mission which was once a school for Indians.

Topeka

Topeka, the capital, is located at 102 km in the west of Kansas City. Kansas Historical Museum presents beautiful exposures on the life of the Indians and the pioneers of the past.

State House contains many artworks.

Abilene

160 km in the west of Topeka lies Abilene. In this formerly famous city for his large cattle market, President Eisenhower was born and passed his childhood. We can visit the Eisenhower Center, constituted of the family house, a museum and a library.

In Old Abilene Town was reconstituted a replica of the old cattle market, from a time when the city was still the center of cattle transit, with crossed tracks of the Wild West and railway intended for the transport of the herds.

Wichita

Approximately 112 km in the south is Wichita, the largest city of Kansas, with its 250,000 inhabitants.

Dodge City

Dodge City, 265 km in the west of Wichita, is in the middle of the wheat production area, on the Arkansas River where herds of longhorn once came to drink water.

Dodge City was the most active among the cattle markets in the border. Cowboys, buffalo hunters, outlaws and renegades used to see each other and came to brisk contact there, careless and free.

The most famous representatives of the law like Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson had the worst difficulties of bringing back the order there.
